Christmas Picture

So all my Grandma wants for Christmas is a picture of her daugter & her family. That is not so much to ask right? Well, if we had know about this a month ago we could have just paid the Wrestling Team $15 and gotten one taken. That would have been easy other than convincing Luke & Richard it was a good idea considering we just had family pictures in September with our dad. As luck would have it I am the family appointed amature photographer so we were going to go and find a nice place outside to get a picture. Yeah right, the "storm of the century" is on our doorstep today. Wind and Cold are not good ingredients for a picture, so plan B. Plan B is to try & get a picture at my mom's house. She has a good south window for the natural light, however not enough room to set up the camera and get us all in the shot. So plan C, wouldn't Grandma just love a picture of you and the grandkids? Luke & Richard love this idea, so it's set and I think it turned out pretty cute. (Don't worry in the spring we'll hire a professional and do it right for Grandma)

Christmas Spirit

Ok, so it's coming slowly but surely (my Christmas Spirit that is). Considering there are only 12 days till Christmas left, I had better get a move on it. So I'm not such a Scrooge as to not put up a tree. I did that. I decorated the house. We have lights outside. So what is the problem? The problem is that ever since Jordan enlightened us as to the finer points of Christmas (that is all I am going to say) I have had a hard time. I long for the days when my kids were young and innocent, not grown up and full of experience. I just have to face the facts, my kids have grown up so fast and I'm not sure where the time has gone. So I'm relying on my own spirit instead of theirs. Wish me luck, I'm going to try and pack in enough Christmas Spirit the next 12 days for all of us and I'll post an update everyday on my progress.

State Champions

I love football!!! I know it's weird, but football by far is my favorite sport. I pretty much understand the rules and how the game is played. Erick doesn't play, but that does not stop us from following our North Sevier Wolves. Actually my cousins Bobby and Riley play so I do have a great excuse to follow the team. Yesterday, we were so lucky to travel to Timpview High School in Orem and witness history. For the first time in 99 years the North Sevier Wolves were in a State Championship game, and for the first time ever they won!!! Way to go boys. It was intense as we were down 12-0 at the half, but a HUGE 3rd quarter put us over the top. It was so neat to see the excitement from the players, parents, and fans. It is a great day to be a North Sevier Wolf!!! (Thanks to the Deseret News for my awesome pictures- you know me no camera. I did drive us to the game, which is an entirely different story :o) And another note, Number 72 in the bottom picture is my awesome cousin Bobby, along with Wyatt Mason and Josh Bates.

16 Years

Richard and I are celebrating our 16th anniversary today. Well I guess our anniversary is today, but we both had to work and he is on his first 13 hour weekend shift and hasn't even gotten home yet. So not too much celebrating is going on. I got these gorgeous flowers at work, they made my office smell just glorious. Thanks Richard for the flowers and 16 wonderful years!!!

Volleyball

I know I am a slacker. Jordan has been playing volleyball for 6 weeks and I remember the camera at the last game. She has improved so much since last year. She is still struggling with serving, but Kenzie says that it will come as she gets older. (Thanks Kenzie for helping out). She did make quite a few hits and even scored some points. Way to go Jordan!!!

First Snow - Minimal Damage

As I post this, it is snowing outside. I was making dinner and looked out the window and thought to myself that tree is really sagging. So I went out to take a closer look and HOLY CRAP it had broken into two pieces. Luckily it didn't take anything else down with it or land on anything too important. I guess that is the chance you take having trees in your yard. Like it or not it looks like winter is on our doorstep.
